Ingredients
- 4 pieces bread
- 4 medium size boiled potatoes
- 1 tsp ginger garlic chilly paste
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/4 tsp each cumin n mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- 1 cup besan
- Salt turmeric, red chilly powder as per taste
- 1/4 tsp soda bi carb
- Oil for frying
- Salt
- 1 tbsp green chutney
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1/4 cup grated cheese
Cooking Instructions
- Boil potatos and peel it. In a pan add oi, mustard and cumin seeds. Once splutters, add chilly ginger paste.
2. Saute it and add potato mash.Add spices and mix nicely.
3. Add spices to besan and make thick batter. Apply green chutney on two slices. Apply potato mix.
4. Apply tomato or schezwan sauce on other slice. Add grated cheese in potato mix. Cover with sauce slice of bread. Press nicely and cut into half.
5. Dip in batter. Cover all sides. Fry into hot oil until golden on both sides.
6. Cut it in half and serve with green chutney and mayo sauce dip. Happy eating.
NOTES:
- firstly, spreading green chutney is optional, however, enhances the flavour.
- also, fry in hot oil, else batter will separate from bread.
- additionally, stuffing into bread pakoda is optional, it can be prepared without stuffing too.
- finally, bread pakoda tastes great when served hot along with cutting chai.
