Ginger Tea is a healthy, spicy, and stimulating medicinal beverage prepared with ginger, lemon, honey, and water and has a spicy, invigorating taste. It is a traditional folk remedy for getting relief from cold, flu, indigestion, nausea, and sore throats.

Serves: 1 serving
Ingredients:
1 cup Water |
1 teaspoon Ginger, finely chopped |
2 teaspoons Lemon Juice |
A pinch of salt or 2 teaspoons Honey |
Directions:
1. Peel and cut ginger into small pieces or thin slices. You can also grate the ginger instead of chopping it.
2. Pour 1 cup water in a saucepan. Add 1 teaspoon chopped ginger. Bring it t a boil and then simmer it on low flame for 8-10 minutes.
3. Add 2 teaspoons lemon juice and a pinch of salt (or 2 teaspoons honey). Mix them using a spoon.
4. Strain boiled water through a tea strainer into a serving cup.
Tips and Variations:
- You can use brown sugar or agave nectar instead of honey.
- If you are preparing ginger tea for cold, ingestion or sore throat condition, then do not add sugar or honey, instead add a pinch of salt to make it tasty.
